Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born on August 20, 1974 in Aviano Italy American actress. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed performances of charming, naive individuals. Adams was raised in Castle Rock Colorado, as the youngest of seven children. Her father served in U.S. service in Italy. The actress began acting and dancing professionally in the mid-1990s with Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later The Country Dinner Playhouse. After moving to Minnesota, she starred in an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) about beauty pageants. Then, in Los Angeles, she pursued acting after her film debut in which she played the dizzy, but friendly contestant. From June 1951 until September 22, 1962 she got wed to actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Leigh's career in film began in the late 1940s after she was accepted by MGM. She had been noticed by Norma shearer. She starred in a number of films that became popular over the decade that followed, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) as well as Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
