She walked out of school, and put up a sign that read 'School Strike For Climate and calmly sat down outside the Swedish Parliament. Her goal was to attract the attention of politicians and get the government to adopt measures to curb the global warming. Swedish media took pictures of Thunbergs strike, and news was spread. Shortly thereafter thousands of students from around the world took part in her #FridaysforFuture protests, skipping class on Fridays in protest of the effects of climate changes. Climate activists from all over the world coordinated the very first Global Strike for Climate in the year 2019. It was a huge success. More than 1.6 million people participated from 125 different countries.

Nia Gwendolyn (born Virenia Peeples) is an American actor and singer. Her most well-known role is her role as Pam Fields (in the drama Pretty Little Liars) and Nicole Chapman (on the show Fame).
