I spent months working 12 hour days cleaning floors and tear down wallpaper one child strapped on my back while the other babies were crawling in the playpen. Ha! Open houses were held at my house where 1 thousand people would visit over a weekend, and they could purchase anything on the first floor. My venture Growing Days began here. In addition to my thriving company, I also started our family. I was finding that balance of having starting a new venture while also being a mommy. Growing Days just seemed to be the right fit. Nora joined us in 2013 to be our fourth baby. The direction my company was heading was great, but I had to take some time off. I took a break from vintage furniture to spend more quality time with my family. The time was right. After a few minutes the phone started ringing. Numerous people reached me for help about home improvement or decorating. These people had mostly been to my home during open houses that were held for furniture. It wasn't long before I managed a large-scale home renovation company. It began with taking clients on one in a manner that I was confident in. Had you told me my company would become the basis for a DIY Network show, I would probably have been astonished. Even now, when I look back on this situation and think about it, I laugh.
