Jenna Fischer was best known for her portrayal of Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. The role she played has earned her an Emmy nod for the Best Supporting Actress category. In addition, she was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a comedy.
Jenna was raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna observed as her mom Anne performed in church plays. She was awed by performance and theater was instilled at a very teenager.
Fischer was a theatre actress in her own country. The Off-Broadway production Reasons to be Happy written by Neil LaBute with Josh Hamilton and Leslie Bibb as co-stars, Fischer was a part of. The play was followed by her participation in the world premiere of Steve Martin's newest play Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy starring Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run at The Old Globe Theatre.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in October 2019. The podcast has been hugely successful, reaching the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads in its first two-years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She is also co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends there. This memoir is about their friendship and the work they did on The Office.
